If the face is inconclusive, the user photographs an ID document in the same flow. It costs nothing extra.

- Without Block repeat accounts: the selfie and video are deleted right after the decision, and nothing is kept.
- With Block repeat accounts turned on: photos, video and verification data for 30 days, and a face template and a device fingerprint hash for 12 months, to block banned users.

Questions
What happens if the face is inconclusive?
The user is asked to photograph an ID document instead, in the same flow and at no extra cost. You still pay for one verification.
Which liveness should I choose?
Standard liveness is our own and costs $0.05. Certified liveness is run by our liveness technology partner and costs $0.075. Choose certified liveness when your regulator or your own policy asks for tested presentation attack detection.
How long does it take?

Do you keep the selfie?
Not unless you turn on Block repeat accounts. Without it, the selfie and video are deleted right after the decision. With it, they are kept for 30 days, and a face template and a device fingerprint hash for 12 months, so banned users can be recognized.
Can it stop banned users from signing up again?
Yes, with Block repeat accounts: a face blocklist, a device blocklist and duplicate detection. They are included in the price.
