For PHP projects, install the official SDK with composer require proofage/php-sdk. For Laravel, use composer require proofage/laravel-client, which wraps the SDK. For Node.js, use npm install @proofage/node; for Python, pip install proofage. Online stores can install the Shopify app or the WooCommerce plugin instead, with no developer needed.

It depends on the mode you choose for the workspace. In Private mode, photos and video are deleted right after the decision. In Protected mode, media and verification data are kept for 30 days, and a face template and a device fingerprint hash for 12 months, to block banned users and detect duplicate accounts. Data is hosted in the EU on Google Cloud and encrypted in transit and at rest. Details are on the Security page and in our Privacy Policy.

Yes. You can set a custom domain, your logo, colors and branding for the verification flow in your workspace dashboard. If you need something that is not there, tell us.

A verification is billed once, when it reaches a decision (approved or declined). After the 500 free live verifications, there is a $30/month minimum, and your usage counts toward it: it covers 100 ID or KYC verifications, or 600 Facial age estimations with standard liveness, or 400 with certified liveness. The first payment comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. Prices for each check are on the pricing page.

A declined verification has reached a decision, so it is billed once. If we ask the user to resubmit (glare or blur on a photo, for example), the retry is not billed again. Abandoned or expired verifications are free. Your dashboard shows the reason for each decision.

Yes, every workspace includes a test mode with separate API keys. Test mode verifications are free and don't affect your production environment. You can simulate various verification scenarios for thorough testing.

Configure your webhook URL in the workspace settings. ProofAge will send POST requests to this URL when verification status changes. Webhooks include HMAC signatures for security, and the SDKs verify them for you.
